so uh in case anyone missed the memo

we had to put my cat down yesterday

a few weeks ago, we took him into the vet for a severe gum infection
after 2 weeks of antibiotics, we took him back in
the infection cleared to reveal he had a growth in his lower jaw
the surgery to find out if it was cancerous or not would have been torture on him (as he was 16), as well as it was expensive
we didn't want to spend $1200 just to find out he had cancer, just to pay another $90 to put him down

so, i took him into the vet yesterday and had to say goodbye

he was the best friend i ever had, but at least he is no longer in pain and he can see his sister again
